The operator behind Narrative Stack
Daniela Nastase is the founder of Narrative Stack and a fractional CMO for tech companies. She has 10+ years of B2B tech marketing across Europe, the US, and the UAE, and has built marketing functions from zero inside technical companies, including robotics, an open source deep tech startup where she led all the marketing activities.
How I work
I work inside the team, alongside the founder. I sit with the engineering team, understand what has actually been built, and make it accessible to the people who buy, the press, the procurement team, and the LLM models that now screen you first.
That comes from years working inside deep tech industries: ROS 2 and distributed systems, open source ecosystems, autonomous systems and V2X. I have shipped marketing that engineers chose, because it was accurate first and persuasive second. In tech, that order is half the job.
Every piece of work has to earn its place. My bar for done is simple: accurate enough to survive your engineers, on message, and it drives a decision or an action. If it does not move the business, it does not ship. That is also my quarrel with most marketing: too many people talk instead of doing.
What I have actually built
- Fractional marketing lead since 2018, with 80% client retention, including a seven-year engagement with a legacy US manufacturer.
- Built marketing function from zero inside a deep tech startup, from go-to-market strategy to enterprise pipeline.
- Led global product launches, resulting in new users and signed enterprise customers.
- Drove a 50%+ increase in website traffic through positioning and content, and opened new markets in Asia through localised presence.
- Built a founder-authority engine that took one engineer from 500 to 17,000 impressions per post, which turned into speaking offers and sales conversations.
- 10+ years of B2B marketing leadership across Europe, the US, and the UAE, working directly with founders and teams.
Where I work
Remote-first and worldwide. I am based in England (UK) and Dubai (UAE), with networks across Europe, the US and MENA regions.
I have run ecosystem marketing across several technical conferences and I lead community and marketing at Women in Tech UAE. Staying inside real technical communities is how I keep the fluency.
The fastest way to see how I think is to ask for a free Tailored Perspective: a specific read of one marketing gap in your company and how I would fix it.
